WHO IS TRULY the Endangered species?
Around the blue/white giant Belletrix orbits the largest zoological park ever built. On transformed planets live the endangered species of many worlds. Tours visit them regularly with visitors who want to see them in their true habitat. The human, Talbot Gavin, a many time ace from a recent war with the Charut empire, is the guide and pilot of just such a tour. A young Charut warrior, Karscht, is a passenger with a mission from his clan leader to study the other passengers, but like all youngsters, is curious about everything. Dr. Connie Folsom is a human doctor with a nightmarish past motivating her to an extreme plan. Megs is a little girl who only wanted to see all the animals with her family. In the events that follow, they all must put aside their prejudices; their ambitions, and their fears, so that they can survive in the wilderness of Estar. For here, the resident species of dragon is not the endangered species, they are.
Penned by up-and-coming author Shaun Kelsey, the sequel Kishtla!, which takes another look at the wonders and dangers beyond earth (as conjured within the creative mind of Kelsey) is expected some time in '09. The author hails from Michigan and prior to his retirement, served as a US Postal Service Police Officer in Detroit.
